On Feb 9th, my M.D. informed me that my cholesterol and triglycerides were through the roof, so I knew I HAD to change my eating habits. I don't record my food intake as I've completely changed my eating habits. Lots of vegetables and fruits... salads...smoothies. I switched to fat-free and low-fat food items and my weight is dropping steadily and consistently. I'm not feeling hungry as I eat throughout the day. I weighed 157.5 lbs and I weigh 143 lbs today. I have my sights on 138. I'm getting there...slowly but surely!

Can I ask what your diet was when your labs were drawn?

I was not paying attention to fat or sugar content. Now, I'm eating lots of fruits and vegetables, as well as fish, baked snacks,"good" nuts like almonds, walnuts, cashews. I've replaced my flavored coffee creamers with non-fat versions... I'm being hyper-vigiliant about nutritional content now.
