I wasn't going to record a journal entry this morning until I wasn't pi$$ed anymore, but that may take a while. Got up at 4:00 and jogged for 4 miles at about a 12:45 pace. Got back, took care of the big dogs, and since I was still all sweaty, put on a hoodie to take the smaller doggie outside. Came back in after he took care of business, and went to plug the nike+ recording module into my laptop, and there was no recording module to plug in. Even the plastic sleeve that it plugs into, was missing. I search and search, inside and out, to no avail. So, now I'm just thinking that either I had a defective unit, and the plastic sleeve was not supposed to come out, or it's just a lousy design, or both. Ughhh! For those that don't know what I'm talking about, just ignore me. I sent an email to Nike, asking them what my options are if I don't ever find this thing.
Anyway, the run was pretty good; I'm still not pushing. I have nothing to gain by doing so. In a week or two, I'll be back to jogging at or below a 12:00 minute pace, and then I'll think about upping the mileage and perhaps doing some speed work. I still have my old and reliable GPS unit, which is more accurate, and uploads more technical data into my training log; I just use the Nike+ as a backup, plus it can be used indoors.
I am thankful it's Friday; but it felt more like a Monday. Here's hoping your day starts off better than mine did. Toodles!

Erika and Jess can probably give a hand with the Nike+, DK. So how are you doing? Sounds like a pretty darned good run. How's the dog, feeling any better about food now that you're no longer offering the Greek yogurt?

Hi Heather! The doggie is making pretty good progress - slow but sure. He's not quite back to his gluttonous self yet. He actually leaves food on the plate, like I "ought" to do. But he is eating non-fat vanilla yogurt, bread with chicken stock, chicken jerkey, and Science Diet canned dog food. DW even got him to eat half of an apple yesterday - which he would never have considered a week ago. Amazing thing is that since he started this bland diet, all of his skin issues have cleared up. Thanks for asking!

Gotta love technology and-or Nike. So much for the clever ad man who coined the term "Just Do It" huh! We all have had those moments when we long to whack back with the retort, "Yeah! That's easy for YOU to say!" Hang tough Sir. You can muster. Thanks for being an inspiration!
