I saw an acquaintance and his wife last evening at a local supermarket - they noted my weight loss! I know it's working! So everyone out there don't eat those cookies, that spaghetti, and if you go to a fast food restaurant get the low carb item like a salad...you can do it - I'm proof over fifty pounds lighter from my heaviest weight and I feel a lot better too! Keep going everyone this diet works!!!! :)

That's great Glenn, I'm so happy for you. It is reaffirming when people notice your weight loss, hang on to that and it will help you get to your goal. You are doing wonderfully! Thanks for being an inspiration to us all.

I really enjoy the posts from the "lifers" like you. What I mean is those who realize that we need to change our eating habits for a lifetime and not just short term. Continue to see the good about the plan and not the deprivation and you will reach your goal and have good health for life. Way to go!!

Thanks for the comments everyone! I just wanted everyone to know no matter how difficult the diet seems to stick with it because in the long run the rewards outweigh the sacrifices that one must do to make it through the rough patches...EVERYBODY stick to your diet and even if the weight loss is slow you will suddenly make progress especially if you journal like I started doing in the past two weeks and you will eventually see great results.. and I for one am certainly not going back to the "fat days" of fifty plus pounds ago ever again, I'm sticking with this diet, which I'm never hungry on - if I can do it anybody can - I'm on medicine that makes one gain weight!!!
