May was a pretty successful month. I *think* I have lost almost 10 pounds in a month but I'll be able to judge better after my follow-up at my holistic doctor. My diet has cleaned up significantly with a few indiscretions. I have a fairly solid sweet tooth so I'm trying to keep it at bay with 2 squares of matcha dark chocolate and about 2 oz of red wine. I shudder at what my meals looked like before I turned 28. I mean, completely shameful.
My incorporation of water aerobics is so much fun! I really am loving it! It isn't exactly high impact, but I am definitely not ready for that kind of a workout. I tried a power yoga class and HATED it. I think my instructor was not my cup of tea, personally, so maybe that was part of it.
I'm also trying to meditate after my water aerobics class in the YMCA's sauna. I have a really hard time completely quieting my mind. That is a good habit I am trying to incorporate into my daily routine. Ditto to flossing.
Well, I wish I knew the amount of weight I could lose at this pace. I need to be down around 50 pounds before I can be at the best possible weight to try and start a family. It seems a little tragic that I have to lose weight in order to put it right back on. Oh why didn't I do this sooner?
