Your new gym sounds good and well done for exercising, even with your neck problems 🙂

Doobrie, I did get there this am to do a workout. I stuck with legs, a little abs and the whirlpool. I so wanted to go swim a few laps but will wait for some OK's from physical therapy. So many things require that the upper body is involved it was hard for me to do much abs. No one there yet to talk to about the possibility of lower price options so will probably go in there tomorrow after work. I did my cardio before I arrived at the gym trying to find a lock @ Walmart.

My workout was vacuuming the whole house today! I was going to do an exercise video in the lounge but hubby woke up early.

Vacuuming is exercise!! It is so much that if you have low back issues it is something that you are not supposed to do. I'm cleaning up the mud the pups have drug in since Wed. Unreal!! So happy I don't have carpet on my main floor. Its been a week of freeze and thaw with a tiny bit of snow with just enough moisture to make a mess. Get the worst of it up and prep cook for the week. They will drag in more so a loosing battle at the moment.

I do have low back issue, WFN, but vacuuming doesn't seem to make it worse - I'll let you know tomorrow though - lol! My cat doesn't like going out in this freezing cold so no muddy paws from him 🙂

Nice about your cat, mine is terrified of outside so never goes out; fine with me. Dogs do though. 2 pups, 1 cat, 1 parrot and 4 chickens--- Only the pups trash the house. LOL. Hope no low back issues.

Good job WFN! 🙋🏻Getting to a gym is nice! Especially one that has a spa! I headed over the other day to use mine with my daughter and it took me 20 minutes to remember my lock combination so I can sympathize with your frustration. I just kept remembering... I set it to the end of the world as we know it... lol. (Meaning something 2012!) 🤪

WFN - well, I woke up with lower backache this morning, so you were right. Never mind, at least I got a workout in. Will be doing more housework today as my son's girlfriend will move in to look after the cat when we go away on Sunday, so another workout planned - lol!

WFN that sauna will be great for your poor neck, don't you think? Those things are great for sweating out toxins and extra fluid.

PS. Even with the straw we put down around the muddy parts, the dogs still come in with wet dirty paws and track up everything. They are housebroken and they have to get out there to potty ... so it's still okay ... just annoying. 😍

Sandy, I swept up the dried mud yesterday, doesn't look like I touched the floors this am. ;D I have wood mulch on the area by my back door but much has washed away. I need to get a few spare bags to replace it in mid winter next year. I needed to see if saunas and steam rooms would be OK with asthma. Apparently they are so may try one of them next time-- the whirlpool felt good. Now I have sore leg muscles today--that's a good sore.

Yes it is a good sore. Saunas and steam rooms take getting used to ... but it will be nice for you. Dr. Mercola likes the saunas. I get newsletters from his website daily.

I'll try not to Sondra! I was reading the symptoms of fibro. Pretty sure I've got it too - had it all my life actually. I used to think it didn't apply to me, but they've changed the criteria in recent years and now the symptoms fit what I have. Pity there's not really much you can do about it.

@Doobrie that sucks! 🤦🏻♀️There are targetted meds for it and palliative remedies. A great many of the same ones used for arthritis. Sleep and regulating your schedule like a drill sergeant can make the most difference however. 🤷🏻♀️Those that actually take melatonin and force themselves to get sleep and do it on a set schedule do MUCH better than even those who exercise and stretch out. Stretching and water are of course your best friends along with things that will help your nerves stay healthy. LOL Good luck! I hate seeing more people in this pain.

Thanks Sondra. It's one reason I have problems sleeping. I'm never really comfortable. Even my clothes seem to dig into me - seams, etc. I won't take conventional medication - too many side-effects of all of them. I don't like the sound of the side-effects of melatonin either though. I'm very careful about what I take. Always do the research. I've learnt how to live with it after all these years so I'll just carry on as I am. Maybe it's a punishment for something I did in a previous life - lol!

@ Doobrie the main side effects are headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, and mild depression or hypotension all within 5 hours of taking the dose? 🤷🏻♀️ Or problems with platelets or if you are on immuneosuppresent drugs? Or some daytime drowsiness. So if you get the dose adjusted correctly for your amount of daylight exposure and weight, like I take such a small amount as to be almost laughable, even though I’m pretty much considered a vampire by most people. I take about 1 mg or just over some nights. But it got me off ambien which I was on for over 20 years. 🤦🏻♀️

But you've been sleeping all day, Sondra. Surely you don't need it at all?

Try valerian maybe to help sleep. It's an herb. I have some leaves I bought to try tea, but they smell awful!! Still trying to find a way to use them.

Sorry for taking over your comments WFN!
@Doobrie I use it to absolutely regulate the TIME I go to sleep. It’s crucial for migraneurs and people with cluster headaches. I haven’t tried valerian WFN since I sleep okay once I get to sleep. For me, I’m an insomniac. 🤷🏻♀️I can’t turn my brain off and can go for upwards of five or 6 days then will crash. 🙇🏻♀️The day sleeping seems to be in response to the activity still of the day before. 🤦🏻♀️No reserves again! 🙇🏻♀️The melatonin is mandated by the neurologist, and has decreased the cluster headaches so I will say she knows what she was talking about. They were Probably brought on by some weird disturbance of my sleep cycles from pain and an overvworking/over functioning mind over the course of years. 🤷🏻♀️I had 2 speeds fast and workaholic. I still have trouble with that and the slower pace my body forces on my mind.
