You can do it! Start carrying a small serving of raw almonds or walnuts in your purse for these times and eat them one at a time. Slowly. Roll them around in your mouth before you chew them up. Make it 1 oz. no more because they are high in calories, but the fat will stave off hunger if eaten slowly. Make it the one you like least. So you won’t be tempted to gobble them immediately. No salted or roasted, you lose nutrients. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you so much that is great advice. When I get hungry I just drink as much water as I can to fill my stomach when I have those moments of painful hunger.

That is a good strategy as well! LOL Hydration is ALWAYS a good thing! 🙋🏻You are doing great! If you are at work and don’t drink coffee or tea, broth is another one to try, especially if you are keto. The best broth is if you make it yourself by throwing your vegetable scraps. I keep everything I cut off or scrape of the outside of veggies for salads or otherwise after they are cleaned in a small ziplock in the door of the freezer. When it’s full I run it through the blender with an onion, celery if I have it, and some water and throw it in with leftover bones from chicken or beef. You bring it up to a boil and then let it simmer down in a stock pot. I normally cook mine on simmer or low overnight. Comes out like gelatin when it’s cold since the protein goodness of the bones is pulled out. 🤷🏻‍♀️I love drinking this on cold nights or using it as a base for casseroles or various soups. You can freeze in ziplocks and just heat up small portions as you want them. Like a cup at a time. 🙋🏻

Yeah, ‘bone broth’ as sold in stores normally tastes pretty rank to me. LOL But add veggies you like that are cleaned...most parts are edible, salad parts that you don’t get to, lettuce and such, kales, etc, and just collect it all in the freezer until you are ready. Strain it when you are done cooking. You can cool the bones and pull off any leftover meat, or discard and then cool the broth and skim off the top layer of fat. Makes gravy if you want it for flavoring of veggies or cauli mash. I make sure I add at least 1 onion and probably 1Tablespoon of Himalayan pink salt to the pot. Pepper, garlic salt, parsley, chives, celery...lol once it’s been simmering awhile taste the non-fat part and see if you like the flavors. 🤷🏻‍♀️Sometimes I buy a whole chicken just to bake and eat the breasts then throw the rest in the pot. It will make about a gallon of broth. 💁🏻‍♀️I just store mine in recycled yogurt containers in the freezer since they will last about 3-6 months and label them with masking tape. But you could make smaller containers, or bring one out at a time. 🙋🏻Bone broth is about 20 calories or so a cup and might contain some fat and maybe a gram of carbs depending on what veggies you puréed into it, but it’s a very healthy way to use up the leftover bits. I got the trick from my sister’s German mither-in-law who was one of the best cooks and housekeepers I ever met. 🤷🏻‍♀️She never let my sister forget it either. LOL 😂 but she did know her stuff! Good luck with your WOE Hon, and keeping the hunger manageable. I know it’s tough in the first little while. 🙋🏻
