I have done TERRIBLE. I got to the point where I accepted I was fat and basically added to the depression by eating anything and everything I wanted. The new year came and went and I did not even set a goal for health or weight loss. Well, I back baby! I am setting a few goals right here and now. I am doing it for myself but also for my husband and children. They deserve a healthy mom. Goal #1-I am starting the South Beach diet. Goal #2-I will exercise at least 4 times each week. I am going to aim for 1 lb. loss per week. Wihs me luck.
181.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 31.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

You can sooo do this!! Nice goals!! Everyday, every meal, every snack, ... each bite.... is an opportunity to nourish your body and give it what it needs to be healthy. Each time you take a bite, ask yourself if it is going to help you attain your much wanted and deserved goals. Go get 'em!!

Well, the fact that you are here means that you are making a commitment of sorts; that doesn't sound so terrible. As bT has said before, each bite gives you an opportunity to make a choice. At first, you could just try to make more better choices than poor ones. Then, when you are ready, start the diet with a full commitment. Good luck!
