I do the same thing sometimes. It's harder for you because you live with other people who not only pay for the food but also make so many decisions about what other food comes into the household. It's tough once the food is in the house and you either want it or are expected to eat it!

Never go shopping hungry! Also make a list before you go and get exactly what’s on the list!

I am the same once I get into a supermarket there comes the picking of items I absolutely do not need even when I have a list wonderful magical meals that I will never make just pop up and before you know it I am throwing away expired ingrediants. The trick if you are able is online shopping, or click and collect for fruits you can go to the fruit store or as Aliaja said never go shopping hungry..

Meal plan. Make a list. Stick to the list. And this week, watch your portions.

I am definitely a list maker. I sit down with my family and we decide a basic menu for the week and create a list. We stick to the list. Budget also helps, because we try to fill that budget with healthy choices revolving around that menu for the week, so there isn't a lot of room money wise to buy extra things we don't need.

You can portion the off-diet food out and freeze the rest for future weeks.

Never shop hungry but even that is not an excuse. Think about WHY you did this. How deprived have you been feeling, is something else going on, etc.?

just a minor setback - you got this

Give the food to a homeless shelter or food bank. Then start over.

"Wasting food" is an interesting concept: If you eat it, it becomes waste that is excreted. So eat it or not, it still is "wasted." If you throw it away you do not have to damage your health and your goals in order to not waste it. Even though I KNOW this, I find it hard to throw food away - still a member of the clean plate club. Could you give away this wrong-headed food you just bought?

Because you're a minor, and still live under your parents' roof, food shopping (in your particular situation) can be difficult. Especially when trying to hide the fact that you're attempting to lose weight. If you get any say so in the foods that you can select for yourself, stick to your goals and be stern with yourself. YOU can make better decisions regarding your choices. Also, I'm glad that you're at least attempting to continue to eat food. I've been where you are, I know by my stats you'd never believe that, but it's truth. Being on both ends of the spectrum, I lost most of my teeth from lack of nutrition/vitamins (from starvation) as well as from the acids that eroded the enamel of my teeth (from binge and purge sessions). Keep your mind straight. Doing it the healthy way is the ONLY way you should be doing it. I know it's difficult to "face food" sometimes, but it's WAY less difficult than not being able to eat things you love because you're missing teeth. You got this, beautiful. And please, feel free to message anytime if you need to talk.

you can do it...I find it hard to throw food away..I give a lot to my neighbor(the really high temptation stuff) and freeze a lot...and remember moderation(you can eat just one) you are doing well in recognizing the problem and being able to talk about it...posting everything you eat is a good step also...you can see what has tempted you...
