Palesa Letsela's Journal, 16 February 2018

I started My journey back in 2014 weighing a whooping 120kg. fortunately I fell pregnant on the way and I let myself go and I ended up weighing 135 that was when reality started kicking in that I was dying a slow death. when my son turned 2 years last year February 24, I made a promise to him and to Myself that I was going to loose this weight, coz it came to a point that I could not even play with him the way I wanted to. to cut My venting short, since last year Feb I have managed to lose 45kg's. I did not reach My goal weight though but I'm still in to win to win...9.4kg's to go to My goal, it is still a long way but it doable. I have managed to drop 4 sizes from size 46 to now wearing size 38 comfortable, it is a dream come true.

And here I am thinking 30kg is such a huge amount of weight to lose. Honestly it used to intimidate me a lot but knowing that others out there are losing more than that is really motivating.Well done Palesa.

Firstly WELL DONE!! 😅😅Please tell me how you did it but most of all, what you did when you had those bad days and could not deal. Did you just take one day at a time, exercise, etc. Sorry to bombard you with all these questions.

Hi Lisaj.. I followed a low carb diet and it wasn't always rosy hey, I don't really meal prep, but because I'm lazy I used to eat mostly low carb veggies accompanied by protein. I used to allow myself one cheat meal at least once a month. On those bad days I will eat whatever I wanted to eat and feel terrible but, life goes on. I never really went to a gym..but I used to run from time to time.hope this helps

Aamsay, it very daunting take one step at a time. For me it started as a motivation to fit into My jeans that were size 42, I ended up throwing those out coz they are too big for me now...you can do this as well..I did this very simple, I didn't eat any of these fancy food that are eaten out here..my staple is green salad (cucumber, lettuce, and tomato sometime)
