Hey Jo - isn't the weather fab? I can't decide what to do this weekend - I have so much to do at home, but feel I should at least make the effort to go and see some of the celebrations. But there are no street parties in my town (I should mention that my town has 6 short streets) - closest party is 4 miles away :( So the chances of getting parking will be slim. I could get on the train and either head for London or Brighton (I'm about half way), but could get stuck with over crowded trains....it's looking more like I'll be staying at home.... 

Hey Tracy bet Brighton would be fabulous, although if the weather is nice you could have just as much fun in your garden have you any friends you could invite round close by for a bbq or something? Not sure on your set up at home does your son live with you or is he still at university away? I'm trying to decide on whether to have my hair up or down for the wedding reception i am going to, i have a beautiful dress check it out got it from debenhams it is a julien macdonald in the star range it is black and white with palm print and figure of eight between the bust maxi dress, cant wait to wear it first time since i got married 10 years ago that i have worn a dress yippee just hopng that my tom isn't too bad tho as due anytime in the next week :-( Loving the sunshine too but welcome the lovely cool breeze, hope you enjoy the rest of your day :-)  

Yeah Brighton will probably be great fun. I do have friends, but they are all couples so it seems a little weird for me in this transitional stage to invite couples over while I'm by myself - although thinking about it they probably won't mind at all - I might meet up with some friends for coffee or something - I still feel like I'm kind of finding my feet, now being a single girl and all. My son is doing his A Levels and college, but works in London on the weekends. Right now the dress....simply stunning!!! I love the neckline and the way it then goes round to like a racer back - hair up definitely - I'll cross fingers for a good tom x I know people don't want to hear this, but please God can it rain tonight, my garden is dying, I have had to give up on my veggies and lugging 25 watering cans of water last night in the hope of saving some plants was not very fun :( 

I know gorgeous isnt it. Oh no about your garden, we haven't got any hosepipe bans here the man over the road was power washing his drive yesterday crazy!! Our veggie garden is doing quite well at the moment we are eating white radish at the moment they are yummy :-) I bet it feels strange after being a couple for so long but hopefully soon that feeling will pass and you will feel more at ease xxx  

Hey triaby.. I bet your "couple friends" won't mind at all.... If you invite 2 or 3 couples, the men and the women tend to group together anyway. they are probably a bit "unsure" about how you feel with 'couples', it could break the ice if you invite them round :-)
