Happy Day, my Fabulous Followers:
So, I just reviewed my weight loss history over years - and it was depressing! I lost, gained back some, lost and gained back some...each time I gain a little less back but I still do not maintain well.
The book "The Obesity Code" discusses this pattern. It is hard to break. I totally try to make my nutrition plan a lifestyle over the long term - but I think at times I "allow" some foods back and then the taste or cravings take over.
I am ready to really change the pattern!
Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle - Tom Venuto
Short Range Goals: * ACCEPT the weight gain with grace * LOG EVERY DAY - especially when traveling for work! * REVISIT Nutrition plan - calorie count and look at macros again * Movement down on the Idiot Boxes while retaining muscle by year end 2018 * Bodyfat % reading with trainer in early APRIL - MAY, 2018 * Drink at least 12-14 cups of fresh water daily - especially on gym days * Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting four to five days a week * Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload
Long Range Goals: 2018 *Bodyfat at 26% or less (Current 29.8%) by end of 2018 *Longer range body fat goal is 22% - which at my age is great! *Maintain Idiot Box at 160lbs staying under goal weight by end of 2018 *Increased strength, endurance and flexibility during workouts
Words of the Week:"Anything is possible, but you have to believe and you have to fight."
I am dedicated, determined and diligent

You know if we didn't need food to survive it might make is easier. As long as we continue to learn and work towards our goal that is a success.

I think most people can lose weight, its maintaining that weight loss is the real struggle. The fact that you are gaining less than you lose means you are learning how to maintain.

You haven’t given up or given in! Woot!🙋🏻Therefore you have not failed! I keep ‘trying on’ maintenance, or just maintaining because I know that will be the hardest part of this struggle. And there are still facets and foods that totally defeat me.🙇🏻♀️ Some are absolutely new foods too! Which has made it impossible to predict.🤦🏻♀️You are working it and staying strong! I have faith that you will figure it out for you!💁🏻♀️

Figuring out what works for you in maintenance is difficult. Don't beat yourself up about it. I know it has been hard for me. I now know I need to stay on my plan, don't deviate too much,, keep my calories at about 1400 and keep up the exercise. If I don't I start gaining those hard fought pounds back. I'm up some because of not staying on track and also some health issues didn't help over this past year.

I am on the Code Red diet, and it says pretty much the same thing. I LOVE this diet. I am comfortably full all of the time; no starvation AND no exercise. I have lost a pound in the last four days.
