I am frustrated. I went away for three weeks, staying at a hotel in Toronto. I tried desperately to eat well, opting for salads at almost every meal, sometimes even for breakfast. I did stray a few times, and I didn't expect to lose weight, but 2 pounds? Not fair! My friends, who are also on the Atkins diet, lost another five pounds whilst I was away, and they have some odd ideas about what foods are allowed (like crackers and whole wheat bread). I will continue, but wow! Is my body ever resistant to weight loss!

Addendum: After recording this journal entry, I went back over all my weight loss data for the last four or five years. Seems I have a pattern of gaining weight over the holidays; usually 11 or 12 pounds in a matter of 3 weeks. I guess a two pound gain isn't so bad after all!
205.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 55.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
