Good Saturday!
We have had some unbelievably clear skies on the West Coast lately, with temps in the higher teens. Looking forward to a nice long run this morning. And it is the start of a long weekend as well! Hope to take my kids down to the States on Sunday and Monday, and do some serious clothes shopping with the boys. Lots of special events coming up soon!
Profoundly happy, because child #2 got accepted to the engineering program at the Univ of BC for the coming fall. Best news all year!!! He has been working hard taking all the pre-req math and science courses, and getting straight A's. So proud of him!!! His high school grad ceremonies are coming soon - will be extra special. :) As well, child #4 is finishing elementary school, so a huge milestone for him as well. :)))
Might actually fit into my favorite cocktail dress - really excited about that lol. Am 4 lbs away at my happy weight now, but of course, 120 is the dream. Let's see what happens.;-) Need to stay patient and just keep on, steady and surely. One thing is for sure: absolutely NO going back!!! Not happening!!!
Meanwhile the divorce legwork continues. Now must get pre-approved for a mortgage ($470,000 if I want to buy out ex for his half of the former family home). Do not want to have a mortgage in my retirement years (17 years to go?). As well, do not want a bigger mortgage than I can afford and have most of my paycheck going into it. Will not feel pressured about buying a house that I'm lukewarm about either. It needs to be a really nice place, and able to accommodate my four kids. But must say that house prices in Vancouver are ridiculous!!! Still it will be great to have my very own place. ;-)
