Okay...here's the deal. I have been pretty stinkin' good on this whole eating right thing. Lean meats, greens, only Atkins friendly sweets from Atkins, little or no caffine, exercise, all the right stuff. I even passed up an amazing slice of chocolate cake yesterday with little hesitation. Instead I just pulled out my Atkins bar and enjoyed that. However, the scale doesn't budge! In fact it is fluctuating with two pounds! TOM is over, which I had chalked the whole not losing thing up to but still no change. My portions are small, and I am not hungry after eating meals so I know that my body is back to normal after Christmas. And I am not craving carbs. I have been at this weight for so long now that I just want to scream! Ya know when you get out of bed in the morning and you feel all skinny? And you're just sure that you've lost weight? And you get on that scale and sure enough you see that by George, three pounds have dissapeared into the sheets! Well, yeah, that hasn't happened in a looooonnnnnngggggg time! So ya all, say a little prayer for me that when I weigh in on Thursday that I can say that I have lost some weight, and not just stayed where I am. To be honest, that is almost as bad as gaining when I have worked so hard to get it off.
Anyhow...weatherman is predicting snow on Thursday here, and that makes me smile! I LOVE snow! Cookies and hot cocoa for the kids of course! I may break down and make some low carb sweets. The pumpkin treat sounds mighty good. And the low carb choc. chip cookies aren't half bad. Though the sugar is a mess.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day! Chin up, (advice for myself as well!) and keep on!
Love, Vicky ^i^

Remember that if you are exercising (especially weight training) you may be increasing muscle mass. Did you measure yourself in the beginning? If not, it still isn't too late to start tracking your measurements. That will help you see if you are losing inches and losing inches leads to a smaller you!! I know your frustration, believe me. You might also want to start counting calories to make sure that you are getting enough each day. Too few and that will slow your metabolism. Hang in there, the weight will start going down if you are following the plan correctly.

The atkins bars have soy in them, as do some of their other "sweets" and soy has been known to cause weight loss stalls. I just thought you should know. Some people see more results not eating the bars. I can't eat them and lose weight.

P.S. You could be losing inches and not pounds yet.
