A lot of people do keto on here, but I just want to say that I cut calories to lose weight while eating carbs, and it worked for me. I however did make sure the carbs I ate were low or medium on the glycemic index, which were closer to nature carbs like brown rice rather than white, rye bread rather than white bread, etc. I just stuck to my minimum calories to lose weight for my gender, age, weight and activity level and the weight came off at a regular pace. I have kept the weight off for two years now and no longer count calories, just listen to my stomach when it says it is full. Just want to state there are options out there, and KETO is not the end all be all. So, not all carbs are evil, but processed carbs are. Low and medium carbs keep you fuller longer and do not spike blood sugar like processed carbs do.

Welcome!! I put spearmint oil or mint oil in my water (just a drop or two) and it makes a world of difference. It also aids in digestion, so there is a plus there! We are all in this together, you will get there, and we will all be here to celebrate the victories with you!! And should you stumble, we will help you back up! This is a great community!!

Great for you! I want to second the comments from wantabyprebabysize. I just hit my target 🎯 weight that I set in October. I’m diabetic but have found that including good carbs keeps me from eating too many fat calories and my blood sugars are now within normal levels. Keep up with everything you eat, and watch the macros to figure out your balance. I have always gained weight back after losing on keto diets, but feel like having the right balance of protein carbs and fat calories has given me a way to sustain my diet. Good luck with your weight loss journey. !!!!
