Horrid day for my diet plan today. Went to my Mom's to sit with her so my sister could have a little down time. My Mom has dementia. She is constantly, as in every 10 minutes - trying to feed everyone, and not healthy grub either. I will just consider this my monthly cheat day - which I do reward myself with - and begin the process all over again in the morning.

Can't give up. I have a brother and 2 more sisters, but basically I am the only one who will make the time to give her a break longer and a couple of hours. I am afraid that it looks more and more like I will need to move back home, and that scares me because of the food issue. I need to devise a plan of eating that means I always have "something" at hand so if she asks about food, I am ready. My Mom lives off of Dr. Pepper, veggies, chips, cookies, candy and all things junk food.

Wow.... brutal trying to live with someone that eats everything. Could you gradually sway her to your WOE? Working on it here.

I do sneak in some of my foods, and she likes them until she finds out they are good for you. It's a mind thing. I will keep trying, though. I have no other option.
