another good weigh in...found a little Asian food market in Soldotna (a mere 25 miles away) that carries agar-agar...so going to pick some up today...temps went up a bit (strange winter we're having) state issued ice warnings in the mountains, a lot nastier than snow..the "road warriors" handle snow very good, most years by now the pass has snow banks you can't see over..but Alaska doesn't use salt on the roads, just grit so they are very slick when we get temps right in the freeze zone
