Last night I dreamt that I was at a party and I ate one potato chip then went back and ate another one. Then I went back and ate the whole bowl. What a dream! What does this mean?

lol Well, maybe you were craving something crunchy?? I'd get some fresh celery and some good lite garden cream cheese and go for it or make the little "cheese chips" by cutting up a string cheese and baking or microwaving until they are melted and bubbly and a little "browned", let cool and then snack on them! I wouldn't think much of it.... I can't even talk about the dream I had the other night!! LOL

ok, i'm kidding on that last comment! let me pull out Dr. Bad Andee....OK, now as I see it, you just need to fess up to your fears that when put in a situation that might challenge your diet, you are afraid of the possibility of failure. Try as you might to resist the temptation, you eventually gave in and failed on your diet (eating the whole bowl symbolizes your diet and how you lost the battle). The good news is...it was just a warning that you need to put up stronger defences against your evil twin! LOL

LOL - I dreamt I was eating some shortbread cookies - then felt so guilty about it - and was I relieved when I woke up and it wasn't true....maybe I should have my dreams analyzed! And what was it about shortbread cookies anyway .... not a cookie I would ever seek out to eat - now a gooey chocolate chip cookie...that's a different story! A vendor had a company deliver hot, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to the office - I bet no less that 6 people asked me if I wanted one while they were still hot - 6 definitive "no thank you's!" They smelled good though, but not nearly as good as thin feels!

Is eating a reoccurring theme in your dreams? It is not for me, however I remember while I was juice fasting I would have dreams about food. I think this is a mental and physical thing, I was hungry no doubt, and so my mind was on food in a physical sense, but also I was so preoccupied with NOT eating throughout the days that obviously I worried about it a lot. A dream is usually some way your mind is sorting something out. My dream wasn't just about food or me eating, but in my dream I had lost control and eaten when I did not want to. I was sorting out that fear of losing control and it was manifested in the most obvious way for me at that time, which was through food. Do you remember how you felt during the dream or right after you woke up? Fear, disappointment, self doubt or loathing... I think the prevalent emotion for me was fear, and even right when I woke up I was afraid that what I had dreamed had actually happened. Also, try to consider where this took place. It was at a party, so were people around to see you eat the chips, were there people eating with you, did they notice or scorn you for eating the chips, etc. Maybe you've felt pressure lately (whether you realized it or not) in social settings to eat something you didn't want to. Or perhaps that is a fear or weakness of yours, that you are unable to confidently refuse food in social settings. Sometimes you relive something that has already happened in your life to some extent, so was there any time similar to what you experienced in your dream? Your mind might be trying to sort out past events and make you conscious of what your actions were at that time so that in the future you might be more prepared. By having that dream, maybe you will be very aware to NOT eat the chip. It is hard to say though, because was this dream driven by your thoughts or by your flesh? If by your thoughts and what YOU want, it is telling you to be careful. If it is driven by your flesh, it is saying, I'm hungry, and tempting you. It also depends on your mindset and how you perceive yourself. If you tend to disbelieve in yourself or dwell on your failures, this dream is a manifestation of that, and it shows how your fears are coming true. If you are the type of person who is driven by proving yourself (to yourself or to others) then perhaps by having this dream, you become determined to prove it wrong. If having a dream like that scares you, close your eyes and envision yourself in that same place, except the next time, you look at the chips and don't eat them, or you eat one and you are able to stop yourself from any more. Concentrate on redirecting your thoughts and envisioning yourself succeeding rather than dwelling on or worrying about failing. It is kind of like when you are driving, whatever you're looking at you will automatically head towards. Sorry this is so painfully long, and I really have no idea what I'm talking about except through my own dreams/experiences. I am just very interested by my own dreams and so when I saw this I couldn't help but try to analyze yours :P
