I do 16:8 IF + 4:3 (5:2 Fast Diet). I follow IF rules everyday but weekends I am a bit lenient. Throw in some low carb days as well during your week and you can see some magic :)

Hi Bigboy, Roni said your our resident FS IF expert. So you already lost me on the 4:3 and (5:2 Fast Diet) I get the 16:8 one at least! :-D As a rule I want my carb intake to be 50gr or lower daily, so hopefully after my first IF week I will see that magic your talking about!

SG there's various fasting regimens. PErsonally I found combining them gives awesome results. The 5:2 Fast Diet is a lifestyle whereby one eats somewhat unrestricted 5 days in a week and has 2 days in the week with a a 500 calories(600 calories for males) per day limit. Some of us have opted to make this 5:2 into a 4:3 where we have 4 normal days of eating and 3 low calorie days. These low calorie days are non-consecutive. Once you get used to these low calorie days you can attempt to make them as a no-food day by just consuming liquids like water, coffee, green tea, coke zero but that u can try later on. You can read about 5:2 on www.thefastdiet.co.uk and get more understanding of it. IF is all about eating food in an 8 hour window each day whilst 5:2 is about having a few low calorie days in your week. Combining them gives you more benefits. On those 5 normal eating days you can play around and see if you need to stick to your RDI. It's all about using these methods to create a sustainable lifestyle for yourself.

Thanks so much for the explanation. Will definitely look at that site for more information, doing a normal google search gives so much info that it get's confusing. Will start experimenting later on in my diet with the other IF options, as these past 2 days on 16:8 have already been showing signs of helping. But if I am struggling I will make some contact with you for advice if you don't mind.
