Fritzy 22's Journal, 27 December 2017

I walked for 3 hours yesterday! I tried last week but couldn't quite do it. Got tired, plus it's hard to find a route in my neighborhood without going back and forth on the same streets. So I did end up going down the street I usually start out on with the big hill coming back. When I came back up the hill I realized it would be less than 2 hours by the time I got home so I took a left turn before I reached my street and walked to another favorite street of mine with a hill to another with a hill before getting to the bottom of my first street and I walked up it again. I know it doesn't make sense without looking at a map but I walked 3 hours and walked up at least 7 hills! Hiking season usually starts late in the spring and I want to be ready. I'm also trying to burn extra calories to lose some of the weight I gained starting a couple days before Christmas.

Janstromberg - I didn't start walking until late September I think - when the weather started cooling down. I could barely walk 10 minutes. Every day I would try to go one driveway further. It's very hilly where I live so while it was easy walking down a hill, my just going a little further each day it took awhile until I reached the bottom of the hill while every day I had a little more climbing than the day before. Walking is really the only exercise I get that's why I keep trying to do more.
