I've been thinking, and I've come up with a couple of my pit falls as far as weight loss is concerned.
1. No self-control
I mentioned this in my previous entry. If I have it in the house, chances are I will eat it.
Solution: Don't buy naughty foods. Seriously, this is the best way for me personally to avoid temptation. Right now the biggest monster food I have in my house is a jar of peanut butter that I occasionally attack with a spoon....
2. Boredom Eating
I've noticed that I binge more on the days that I'm off than when I'm working, typically between lunch and dinner (that awkward time where I'm waiting for the boyfriend to come home and decide what to do with dinner).
Solution: Any time I'm tempted to go into the kitchen, my plan is to down a full 16.9oz bottle of water to fill the gap.
...I had something else earlier but I'm now forgetting what it was :)
Sidenote: I wanted to thank you all for your comments on my entries. I don't typically respond because, most of the time by the time i see that there are comments its been posted forever ago (I hate the fact that FS doesn't have a message alert system). But much love and awesome karma to all!

I agree with both solutions, especially the first. Like you, there are simply foods I cannot have in my home. Period. I call them "trigger foods" as they are foods that inevitably lead to binges.

I did the first and it made a HUGE difference. I just tossed or gave away everything bad. It does work.
