My tip is don't just count the calories eaten, but make sure to enter the activities (ie calories burned) as well. Set a goal of how much you want to be in the negative (burned more than eaten) each day. That way you don't feel like you can't enjoy some of your favorite foods. I enjoy a piece of chocolate very night and don't feel deprived, so I just makes sure to do a little more those days planning ahead for it. As long as I still hit my goal of how many net calories negative, I can eat a little more. 3600 calories = 1 lb so when your net for each day totals a -3600 you have lost a lb!
