Warning, What you are about to read may make you see the cornball that I really am but here goes.

I have picture at 240 plus and now at 217 and I promised pictures . I am on rapid weight loss, low carb except veggies,protein diet challenge. I was raised this way growing up and fallen onto the carb express - picture 1.

Please check out the 30 day 45 challenge . These are the right foods that make a difference . I am living on rotisserie chicken , leg quarter and some breast meat but not in that proportion , usually put in with broccoli 1 cup , a whole onion chopped and jarred mushrooms with montrose seasoning and vegetable oil for flavor . A Holton burger is a good substitute. A carnivore salad from Cecil Whitaker yesterday. It has pepperoni , ham , turkey, no cheese I left off , salad with ranch . I cant give it up . A smaller person can make 2 meals out of it . St. Louis visitors try pizza wings salads . I had the salad and the burger option yesterday . I also eat tomatoes sliced with salt and pepper , which I eat to hearts content . I am drinking Pepsi one or Coke Zero however the gas from carbonation is uncomfortable, tea and water. A Bud Select zero carb 99 calorie or Busch Light about same calories if want an alcohol drink . Today , turkey , ham , veggies -, and watching sweets - eggs I have problem in moderation but eat hard boiled for snacks.

Blah , blah , blah and did you ever notice when things are good , I ramble and when things are bad I'm silent .

My hope and prayers for everybody struggling is to relax and find the foods you love. You would be surprised the good things u eat already , I have made better strides just changing eating . I am looking at a long bike ride this year for a goal . Everybody else congrats and great job .

My worst vices are bread and pasta and cheese and regular soda or pop . I make a spaghetti omelette now , a Mexican omelette . I make mine and take it. If I don't have it , I do Arby's or Hardee's and get rid of buns and cheese and you are good .

My support system of good friends and fatsecret friends are great inspiration to me and are amazing. God bless all of you and I am blessed because of you . Happy Thanksgiving

First off thank you. The question you asked is exactly the question I asked myself . This has been a bad year on a lot of fronts. I figure the first thing to do was get my health in order and it was long overdue.. I need to start here and I am feeling great and a peace I haven't felt in a long time . I have weeded out negative people around me and have surrounded myself with cheerleaders. I do this for me first , my friends and family also . I have got into a rhythm with eating and it is fuel to me at this point. Boring choices works better for me. When I expand my food choices too much and quickly , I get in trouble. The future could change and I gain weight back but I am not using food as a vice or eating badly. I feel good at 185-195 and I am looking for that feeling again. I have found a great church, catholic raised, but this Christian church peels me apart , makes me examine myself , and I feel great afterwards. Being my age, I don't take any medicine, have been at 1 time just been able to overcome any kind of pain and felt strong and realistically I feel I am getting back to this point. I think everyone needs to find out why to do this. Believe that you can do this and you will . I know you can do it. Stick to what you do , get a good support system and you are off. Again I can only say what is working for me because I don't know what tomorrow will bring but I feel like I am better prepared.

I think you have found the right combination. The only things that I do differently is I do eat cheese and I don't do carbonated drinks. No soda - no beer and infrequent alcohol at all. When people ask me how I have lost my weight I say "I got rid of the white stuff", potatoes, rice and pasta. I order hamburgers with a lettuce wrap which is basically the same as not eating the bun but you can pick it up. I have found that full fat is better; low fat and light including diet coke made me fat to begin with so don't feel bad about having ranch dressing. I have heard people say shop around the store which makes sense because that is where the most natural stuff is. The processed food is in the aisles. I say the closer to how God made it is the best way to eat!

Cheese is my downfall and I think getting older has play on my stomach - It's great to find the recipe such as you have and am just trying to stick with it - Today 1 piece of apple pie but that's it for awhile - Happy Thanksgiving
