mars2kids's Journal, 17 November 2017

I ate way too much yesterday, but I'm recording it and moving on. I came home with a plan to make a decent dinner that wouldn't completely ruin my calories, but when I walked in the door my husband (who hasn't been cooking anything) was already making pizza, which I always overdo. I should have resisted more and only done a slice or two, but I didn't. I have such a hard time resisting food when I'm tired. There are things I just have to work harder at and re-learn.

I'm really focused on getting some healthy foods for next week and making myself some healthy lunch options so I won't be tempted to eat junk. I'm also going to try to pick a workout that I can get started on. My goal for the weekend is to find healthy recipes and a workout. If I can start doing better now, then hopefully through the holidays I'll feel better and won't feel the need to eat as much junk, and go into the new year without a huge gain.

The only thing ever stopping me is myself, so I need to just remove the mental block and get going!

Sounds like a good plan - how can we help you out? Particular recipes? Any preference on exercises?

I think coming here and getting support, and sometimes a good kick in the butt, is what I really need. Healthy recipes are always nice too. :) I need to get myself going and keep logging here. When I read someone else's successes here, or just knowing maybe someone is struggling like I am, it really motivates me to do better and helps me keep a positive attitude.

you have the perfect mindset , and a great plan of action, you can do this hang in there! we all have days where we either don't have time to prepare something healthy or like you said just too tired. but you are moving ahead in the right direction! we have faith in you!

Slip-ups happen. We all go through it. I total get losing control when tired. You work all day. Your brain is mush. Pretty hard to battle the devil on your shoulder when you're like that. Don't get too discouraged.
