mars2kids's Journal, 15 November 2017

I wanted to keep getting on here, and now it's been since August! I think I may have recorded some food in September, but that's it. I've gone up a bit in weight since then, but I've been hovering in about the same range for the last year or so. I really want to lose, but I'm having trouble finding my motivation to exercise and now I'm on a new medication and I seem to feel hungry all the time. I know I can do better, I just have to find the right mindset.

We have a vacation this coming summer where we'll be at the beach, and I'm not worried about a bikini body, I just want to feel good and be able to be active. Right now, I'm just tired all the time and never want to do anything active. I have to make a change in my head and just make myself do the workouts and make the right food choices, but I'm finding this really difficult. When I do workout I enjoy it, and I like healthy foods, so what is going on in my brain?

I just needed to journal some thoughts today. Maybe this will help me really look at things and make a new start. Coming here has always helped me clear my mind and motivated me. It's always motivating to see other people doing good things. Trying to eat better is a start, then I need to start getting my workouts in. It's all up to me...

Hi Mary!! Great to see you journaling again. Keep trying. Even if the exercise is just for 2 minutes in front of the TV...little motivators become bigger ones!

We feel ya buddy. As we get older that exercise thing becomes even more important. The best part about good advice is to pass it on ...

I'm new here, so Hello Everybody! I suggest you get your electrolytes checked, as we lose weight our magnesium and sodium can become depleted, causing us to feel tired and nauseated

Just something that worked for me... I sought out opportunities to be "active" where it didn't involve a full meal (in the South, it's difficult, trust me) and/or made it a point to ask some of the families who "adopted" me (per se) to help me "help myself" at social functions. That's just one thing I did/do.
