hollipop's Journal, 13 November 2017

Been eating anything and everything for a while now. I weighed 220 last week, which is the highest I have been in a looooonnnngggg time. I can't believe I lost that much control! :(
I think the only reason I'm down almost 4 pounds from last Monday is because I had a little stomach bug over the weekend and didn't eat much, but drank lots of water. But, I'm back with a new determination. I've started a cleanse this morning--really overdue for one--and am ready to get this off! My body desperately needs a cleanse and gut health improvement.
The only way to get back my self control and determination is to do it. I can't wish it back, I just have to keep trying. So, that's what I'm doing. Day one of regaining self-control and changing my life!
Have a great day everyone!!

Falling off the wagon is so easy to do Getting back on is a struggle. Especially when it has been a while. But you can do it. One step at a time. Knowing you are not alone is always helpful.

We all have those times where we do nothing but eat. It looks like you're on top of it so down is the only way to go. Good luck!

This is my 2nd day 1 since Oct 27. I am 364.3. The irony in that all is I feel completely empty inside “emotionally” so I get it. Let’s be strong together! 👍

Get started, you'll feel better. It's sometimes easy and sometimes hard - but worth it. We'll be along for moral support.

You can do it and a Cleanse is a great start. How I can relate to just losing all care about what I eat. That mode scares the heck out of me. It’s like well I just want to enjoy this and that then six months later (for me). I wake up. That is my biggest fear and what my focus will be on education wise.

Hey, you're in the right place. There's so much support here. -- I don't have self control around food, and when I tried to diet I always forgot what I'd planned. Now I'm not sure that's a bad thing. It might be survival, a protest against the Change Your Body Change Your Life message we're bombarded with. -- For the past almost two years, what's completely removed all cravings and any need for self control is cutting the carbs and increasing good fats. It doesn't have to be radically low carb. -- A little while after I started limiting carbs to small amounts of root vegetables, quinoa, occasionally dense rye bread, I stopped eating after 6 P.M., and ate only at planned meals. This didn't require self-control, just resignation to the belief that my body would adjust and after a few days I wouldn't miss it. -- YMMV, this is just my experience. But I strongly believe that we women shouldn't have to feel deprived or spend energy trying to change our bodies or put our lives on hold until we do. The only thing that works, in my experience, is nourishing myself. And the results end up looking like self-discipline went into it. -- Logging everything I ate for the first four months here taught me SO much about nutrition and re-shaped my sense of proportions. This was an exhausting PITN and probably looked like self-discipline, but again was just resignation to doing what worked. -- For me, it helps to only follow people who are steadily making progress, logging everything (or at least did so for a while) and have a lot of back-to-back time on their chosen WoE. (Way of eating.) BlueCoaster is a rock star in that regard.

There is great support here, great tips, motivation and inspiration. What I love most is no matter your health goals people are here to cheer you on, no matter your story, journey or background. We are all just humans looking to improve our health! Way to go on your recent drop, and good luck to you with your cleanse, I have learned the greatest tool for losing weight is self love, forgiveness and patience. since adapting my views of my body and this journey I have been dropping weight quicker... placebo, coincidence or science behind it?? I just know it's been working!

I am there for you. I am in the same boat. I tried really hard last year and lost 30lbs. So far, I have put back nearly 20. I can't shake the weight and can't seem to find my self-control. Went to a party yesterday and they had chips and dip (which I ate.) There are so many social pressures. I know how you feel. I will try to get back on the wagon with you. Best of luck.
