When will I have my lightbulb moment?

Chris and I watch the biggest loser shows regularly. We are currently watching Season 7 and Season 13 (as it unfolds). I am bad and peeked online so I know who wins the Season 7 show...don't worry I won't tell. Bob Harper talks about when contestants have their lightbulb moment. The moment when the trainer makes them run a 12.0 on the treadmill for 30 seconds and the person weighs like 450lbs and they know in their mind that they CANNOT do what they are doing, yet somehow they are. Somehow despite everything they have ever thought about themselves, they are WRONG. They can run for 30 seconds, they can lift over 100lbs, they CAN DO so many things they never even imagined. They realize in that exact moment that it was their own thinking, their own doubting that has held them back and kept them fat all these years.
I want this moment. I need this to happen if I'm going to overcome obesity once and for all. This is a very difficult and emotional journey for me. In my mind I want to be a healthier person but in my heart I only see myself as fat. I've always been overweight and it is so difficult to envision myself any different.
My lack of a lightbulb moment keeps me on the couch at night when I should be working out. It's like the old saying goes "Nothing Changes if Nothing changes."

Well you don't want to wait around for that light bulb to go off. You need to get up off the couch and be a NIKE commercial and JUST DO IT!!! Start walking each day. Start with 10 minutes. Baby steps! You need to build new habits. It takes 3 or more weeks to build a new habit. Once you get used to doing something, you build from there. I have gotten to the point that I feel guilty for missing a workout. I have some of Bob's dvds and he kicks some serious butt! So DING! There's your light bulb! Now get moving, lol!

Thanks Suzi! Very cool. You are right, even a short walk a day is better than no walk. Thanks for the encouragement.
