Fritzy 22's Journal, 08 November 2017

Finished my daily walk. It started raining twice, but just a little and I won't melt in the rain. Think I did between 5 and 6 miles. Went looking for another hill to walk and found a good one but my two original hills are the most difficult so I always include them. The long walks tire me out, but I feel so good to do them, especially with the hills.

I am at the point where it usually all falls apart. Lost 30 pounds which is the most I have lost in 6 years. I've done between 20-25 several times then I just get tired of the meal planning and cooking (don't like cooking much) and usually put the pounds back on in the potato chip isle in the grocery store! But the logging of food on this site and the support and hearing about what everyone else is going through is keeping me motivated. Thanks everyone!

25 to 30 pounds do me in every time. I lose very slowly and since that generally puts me near a goal weight I generally lose patience with the process and the structure. Maybe you should let this be a maintenance weight for a while and teach yourself to stay on track. I really believe that staying part of this community is key to success

Newnbetter- I'm very goal oriented. I need to continue to lose during the holidays. I took a week off from logging my food and following the diet and gained over 3.5 pounds in that week. I've now lost it plus 1 pound. I saw my doctor on 9/25 and told him I would lose 15 pounds by my next doctor visit in late December. I was 189 on his scale (wearing shoes, and clothes of course). I don't like to not make my goals especially when my doctor has it in writing on my visit summary. So that means 174 on his scale fully clothed or about 170-171 on my scale in the morning in my pajamas. I read your profile and saw that your goal is to hike again. That is also my main motivation at this time. I've told friends I used to hike with that I'll be ready by spring. Need to be 150 pounds or lower to accomplish that. That's why I find all the hills I can to walk up. Maybe we can encourage each other so we can both reach our hiking goal!
