Colposcopy yesterday. Now to wait until 11/28! Still out of control binge eating in the evening. I know it's stress because I hear my mind telling my body NO it's after 8 pm, or NO it's only sugar, but still find myself eating, eating, eating. Supposed to get some Xanax to help with the pre-surgery anxiety, hopefully that will help turn things around.

I think when I am under a great deal of stress beyond my normal, I eat more as well. Good Luck finding your balance.

I've been having a cup of chicken or beef stock (not broth) when I want to stop eating after dinner .. and it seems to curb those cravings until bed time. Not sure if it is the savory-not-sweet-yet-bland-and-not-all-that-apetizing aspect, or maybe the protein .. but it's been working for me. And only 30 calories.

Thanks HCB. Thanks Rhills, while I don't eat mammals, but I do appreciate your advice. I tell myself I'm going to the kitchen to make a cup of tea or vegetable/chicken broth, and find myself opening a can of baked beans. I tell myself I'm going to have an Emergen-C or cup of tea, and find myself eating tomorrow nights planned dinner. It's just the prospect of being gutted. First time ever having major surgery, and not sure how to get out of my own way.

I can relate to the stress/anxiety/depression/starving mode.

Thanks for the tip Rhill, I'm going to try that because that's my anxious part of the day, after Dinner!
