Fritzy 22's Journal, 17 October 2017

Finished my first walk in over a week. Wasn't able to walk all the way down the street that is my big challenge (first walking down, then all the way up) but did make it to the first hill and was able to come back up without stopping. So feeling good. Had my neighbor's cat and a buck waiting for me at my house. Very calming for things getting back to normal.

Great job! And what a great sight to come home to... that cat is totally adorable, I feel the overwhelming urge to cuddle him. :)

JMA312 - I think I walked about mile and a half. Once I get back up to speed I'll be walking between 3-4 miles.

I'll bet that cat was thinking "mmm venison" till you showed up. I'm an avid walker and have several cats that come greet me on my footpath every weekend. I always sit and take a break to pet them. Sometimes it's hard getting back up but totally worth it. Good job and great photo. Cheers.

Davisrick1 - The cat was actually staring at my 10 month old terrier mix. They're actually pretty good friends. When I first moved here I was surprised to see that the deer and cats seem to get along pretty well. I thought cats would run and hide, but I remember seeing my neighbor's cat sitting next to a deer just grooming itself. My cat has actually gone up and sniffed the nose of a deer. Dogs are a different story!

Cranky - that buck is a buddy. He was laying down by my front porch when I got home today.
