So it's my official first day on Atkins. I had eggs and bacon for breakfast and a taco bowl (ground beef, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, hot sauce) for lunch. It's 5:00 and I'm not hungry, but I'm just so used to eating, allll the time. I honestly don't know what to do instead. Eating has not only become a habit, but a pastime for me. I eat when I'm bored, sad, happy, excited, stressed, watching tv, reading, literally allll the time. Any tips?

I've been low carb for over 6 weeks now and I'm exactly the same kind of eater as you and I can let you know the urges dissipate after awhile because I'm just not hungry all the time anymore...it's like any habit there is a bit of will power required for the first little bit...I agree with the keep busy suggestion, but know it gets better:)

The first few days sucked really hard!! But after a week I don't have any cravings unless I am serving my kids a slice of GF cake and want to lick the knife 🙈 but staying prepared with healthy snacks and lots of water helps. I am not sure if it happens with Atkins, but with keto you can get migraines, it is due to our organs dumping our electrolytes and making us think we crave sugar, so keeping your electrolytes up using a Sole Solution helps prevent that.

Wow!! Thank you guys so unbelievably much!! Those tips are great! Writing them down to keep as a reminder for when the munching habit keeps kicks in. I also love the advice about intermittent fasting, I read up on it, and will incorporate that into my meal plan. Your advice has motivated me so much today, I'm forever grateful.
