I’m back. Been on and off and on again. Just disgusted after dropping 70 pounds a couple of years ago then putting it back on. I have the yo-yo effect down pat. I see so many incredible recipes and dishes here so here’s questions for whoever happens to see this.....what if there is no cooking source? No stove, range, or microwave? What if your refrigerator is very small. Less than apartment size. For those that don’t know, I basically live where I work. I drive a truck.

Wecome back! Depends on your diet plan I suppose. I live in an RV, it broke
down and had to live in it in the Ford dealership parking lot for 10 days. Found grilled chicken from Zakbys delicious and Fatz Cafe had a great diet plate with steak. I was able to use the propane stove but no fridge for those days. Good luck, I know you can do this!

Welcome Back! That sounds tough! I pre-cook my chicken and turkey meatballs and eat them cold or at room temperature .. I imagine they would last quite a while in a cooler. Also hard boiled eggs. Raw veggies?

Sounds like you definately need to relearn to eat properly. However, your situation puts you in a difficult place to be able to do that.
In your Professional opinion do you think a chain of truck stop restaurants that only offer healthy meals a viable business venture? Would likely need to be setup ala Fast Food style but only offering low calorie (low fat/carb) food alternatives.

Were you driving a truck when you lost the 70 pounds? I don't know what I would do if it were me. I know lots of grocery stores have ready made salads with chicken or shrimp. I've bought 2 or 3 of those when I don't want to cook or eat snacks. Maybe keep apples, and raw nuts to snack on. It would really be tough without even a microwave.

You could still eat at a truck stop restaurant. For example, if you were to get a burger, you would have to tell them not 2 cook it in oil or butter, if they can broil it & make sure you get ur veggies on there, lettuce, tomatoes (actually a fruit but whatever) even pickles. Do 1/2 the bun & absolutely no fries. You have to pick and choose wisely and see if they're willing to work with you on adjusting how your food is cooked. You can carry snacks & meal bars but don't think you can live off of just that. If you like tuna fish you can carry & eat out of the can with some lemon juice, salt & pepper. Even have it with some wheat or multigrain crackers but not too many. You just need to do a little online searching for ideas. You can accomplish it. You will prob need a cooler.

I live in a small RV and eat LCHF. A week's worth of groceries fits into my 4 cubic foot refrigerator. Yes, I have to plan my meals, but I am to the point of knowing how much of everything to buy. Eating out at local diners, Waffle House, or Denny's usually goes quite well with this diet. One can usually get eggs at any time in these places. I stock up on chicharones (pork rinds) and celery for emergencies. Celery keeps for a long time outside the cooler if it is kept in water.

My dad is a truck driver. He also struggled with weight issues.
I know how hard it can be to lose weight when your food options are so limited. I am a diet technician and have worked with my dad to find things that work for him, like snacking only on fruits and veggies. Ordering things like chicken with two sides of broccoli at truck stops and avoiding the calorie laden mashed potatoes... staying away from buffets.
If you ever need to talk, just reach out! I would love to help you plan.

Have you considered getting an induction single burner? You would need a plug or a converter and a induction pan. It would give u the ability to do some cooking without the hazards of an open flame or hot plate.
