crankybuzzard's Journal, 14 October 2017

Having a bad day while on a weight loss journey is going to happen. Let's face it, we're all human and temptation has been with us from day one.

We all need to remember, when, not if, it happens, we must log it, own it, learn from it, and move forward. It can't be used as an excuse to move back into bad behaviors or to stop all together. Starting over next week, or tomorrow isn't the thing to do. Start over right after you realize what's happened to almost derail you!

Take a look at some of the journal entries of folks on here that have lost a LOT of weight, yes, they had bad days too! But they owned up to it, moved forward and kicked fat's ass! I look forward to seeing those people on here daily so I can become more inspired and push myself further. That's what we all have to do, stay inspired!

This group has been my main inspiration! Before I found FS, the only people I would risk disappointing were a few around me that knew what I was doing, but now, I've got people all over the world rooting for me on a daily basis. I have friends in 2 other countries that PM me when I need a scolding! LOL. Nope, I'm not gonna let this family down, but most of all, I'm not going to let myself down!

Yep, myself! Yes, I want to make others happy and for them to be proud of my accomplishments, but I have to be happy with me first. In this journey, you come first, that's the way it has to be. Others will come and go, but I'll always be stuck with me, so I'm damn sure gonna make certain that I'm happy and proud of me!

Now, let's all have a terrific weekend!

Your attitude determines your altitude. Never give up, never surrender. Stay strong and push on. Been bouncing between 204 and 206 for a hot minute now but I refuse to give in. Go CB, Go!

Truer words could not agree more - the longer I stay on here the more I see this for the long run journey that it is and the importance of those lessons along the way :)

Nicely said, we all have to be in the correct mindset. We do indeed have to own it.
