Happy October 1st.

61st day of logging (The best new habit!) Lowest weight, logged today, at the 66% mark of my 3 month self-experiment.

Month 1 - Aug 2017 - Determine daily average carb intake. [baseline 91.09 net carb grams]

Month 2 - Sep 2017 - Reduce daily net carb intake by 40% to 54.65 grams. [Achieved a 26% reduction, 67.30 net carb grams average]

Month 3 - Oct 2017 - Reduce daily net carb intake by 46% to 36.34 grams. IN addition, starting today and every 5 days thereafter, I will enter my weight on FS even if there is an up swing [And so it begins]

Self-Experimentation / analysis of the data / making necessary changes if not getting the results I desire will lead me to victory.

I scrapped the only pancake on my plate into the trash when my wife wasn't looking. This is one of the ways I win. Way too early in my day to hit my 36.34 gram #. For goodness sake, the pancake with crushed bananas in it and the syrup alone I estimated to be over 50 grams.(I didn't pour syrup on the package because it would have touched the eggs and this post would be radically different if the sugar hit my tounge, LOL)

One bite at a time I will get there.

By the way, I will transition into a 60 day self experiment after this one is complete. I am thinking:
Month 1, Nov 2017 - go back up to 50 net carb grams average and see what happens.
Month 2, Dec 2017 - no food logging figuring after 5 months of a disciplined food weighing and logging protocol, I should be able to recognize portion sizes and food qualities(good vs bad) to be able to do it on my own ((This will be really interesting))

Weighing and Logging foods daily is NOT what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Onwards!!!!!

And I thought I was analytical! I like your plan for December, wish it were me, but would be too hard during the holidays. Maybe by spring...............

Logging your food makes it so much easier to control what goes into your body. I have the best success when I log in my meals.

As for logging, still try to everyday, I usually go on the high side to just to be sure, I'm also like you, try not to get tied down to weighing food everyday, now I go by scale numbers and do a lough some more carbs once in awhile, I have been lucky so far staying under goal weight, right now, that is my objective, still do the 16:8 WOE, that I believe keeps me on track..I'm also interested to see what happens on your program, as I have been experiencing different eating patterns and will announce later of my findings. I'm always experimenting with the numbers , I guess I'm just data driven, And my journey goes on !!!

Thx JeniB, Fritzy, Diehard and Gary. I probably will be also utilizing 16:8 or OMAD M-F and on the weekends, a little more relaxed with meal timings.

Oh man I wonder if G scrapes the pork belly I made into the trash when I'm not looking. Love your planning! Wish I'd thought to carb down like that. Very wise transitioning. Like you, I don't hope to weigh and log forever. Where is the happy medium?

"Weighing and Logging foods daily is NOT what I want to do for the rest of my life." While it is a necessity now, I wholeheartedly understand and back you on this one. At some point the healthy part of my brain is supposed to kick in and run on auto pilot. Good luck with your plans.

🎃 Oh gosh ... do we have to show it when the weight goes back up? 🎃 LOL! You are a superstar ... no cherry pie and no banana pancakes. It would be hard to stay low carb in your house ... for real! Wishing you success with each new plan. You got this!

Thanks Steven,Crankybuzzard, T8U9, ApacheTiger37, Shallid, Amandakane1, Mom2Boxers. I walk in to the house of carbs daily and come off the rails more than I would like but I get back on track real fast and I think this is getting me close to achieving my goals. The scale was the same this morning, however when you look at the big picture, I am on day 3 of OCT and my daily net carb average is currently 26.06 ((This is nice!!!))
