It's supposed to be swim day & I had everything ready; swim gear, lunches, work clothes, etc., I had high aspirations of 55 laps to make 100 laps for the week...but, this morning I wasn't feeling it, not at all, I felt just tired & droopy, like I couldn't wake up. At one point I was asked what was I doing, as I was just kind of standing in the kitchen, doing reply was that I was waiting...waiting to wake up.

So my evil alter ego is saying oh, you poor baby, you are So tired, why don't you just sit yourself down & watch the weather channel (I don't know about anybody else, but for me I can lose a lot of time watching the weather channel!), or maybe go back to bed & get some don't want to get yourself sick do you? So, I tell myself, OK, you can watch the weather after you feed the animals...oh yeah, & then grab the laundry from the dryer, back upstairs I decide I'll just wash my face & brush my teeth...if I still don't want to go, I don't have to. Well I still didn't want to go, but I went anyways...swam 51 laps & felt really good about it too. Ultimatly, that is why I go swimming, why I run/bike/hike, etc., it's for how I feel about me, about the world afterwards. What a stress reliever excercise truely is. I believe I am a much nicer, calmer, easier to get along with person when I excercise regularly.

Woohoo! Way to overcome the blahs! That stuff cn be worse than a weight around your nexk. Good for you to make a healthy decision and I'm glad you're feeling better now that you've done it. Have a good day!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for that journal! I had a similar situation this morning but I turned the alarm clock off and went back to bed instead. It is not hard to see why you weight 16 pounds less than I do. So, thanks for the inspiration!

I could've sworn I typed a comment here, but must have forgotten to hit "Submit." Oh well....just gonna say that isn't it funny how doing exercise can change the mood of our day just like that! The only issue is actually getting ourselves to DO the exercise! I bet your day is continuing to be great, just 'cuz you went out and DID that exercise.....way to go!

Sandy...there is an awful lot to be said about the benefits of JUST DO IT! Describes you & your walking too, it doesn't happen by accident does it...Ah, so much fun in one day!
