Anyone have a funny or strange NSV (non-scale victory) that they'd like to share? I had one today!

I boiled another batch of hard boiled eggs and I was standing at the sink to peel them. I had the stopper out, so the shells could fall into the drain, so I could run the garbage disposal when I was finished. One of the eggs popped right out of the shell and fell into the drain. In the past, I'd have to grab tongs or someone else to fish out anything that would have fallen in. This time, I was able to fit my hand down in there to retrieve it, without issue!

Sure, the thought of having my hand in the garbage disposal still creeps me out, but it was cool to see that my hand has shrunk where I could easily fit it in!

YAYY. Great Post. Non-scale victories are the best, because those are the ones we are really looking for, right? Clothing sizes are a big one for me. I've already under-grown the belts, shirts and pants I bought only a couple of months ago, but I don't know if you can count the same non-scale victory twice!! My wedding ring almost falls off my finger, which isn't so great and I'll have to get it resized. I can see my abs!!! I can tie my shoes while breathing!! Getting out of bed is a snap!!

@rhills: I love clothing NSVs too! My mom and I have always enjoyed the thrill of the hunt for thrift store finds, but now it's even more fun!!

Love your journal entry and all the comments. I can't wait til I have a few non scale victories myself. Only thing I have going for me right now is I have more energy, and just feel better. ^_^

Great job Erika 🙌🙌🙌🙌 I'm sitting waiting to collect my daughter from school. Until very recently, I would have to physically adjust my belly if I was sitting for a while.. I also don't have overhang to tuck into my underwent anymore... But I think my biggest NSV has been meeting my family at the airport and subsequent wedding.. My aunties, uncles and cousins were delighted at my obvious weight loss and how much better I was walking than when they last saw me a year or 2 years ago!!! Yaaaay 😁 Keep those NSVs coming 🤗

I love NSV! @rhills there is a wedding band ring guard that you can buy at most jewelers that will fit into the back of the band of the ring and has tabs on each end that bend around the band. It allows people with arthritis swollen knuckles and such to have a ring stay on their finger and keeps it from twirling to be gems down all the time. It will also work to bring it in a size or two while you are losing weight.🙋🏻

Isn't it amazing that we don't really notice that our hands and feet were 'fat' before? Nice little NSV! I'm getting to the point where when I'm getting dressed in the morning, I put something on, and have to say, "Well crap, there's another thing that has to go in the donate bag." One of my most interesting NSVs is that my arms look longer, and I look taller these days.

Here is a NSV...My daughter took me to my Dr. appointment. I had some way too baggy pants on, but found if I rolled the waist them pulled them to my bra-line they looked ok. So, when I pulled my arm out of my shirt to get a shot, she saw the pants adaptation, she said, "Ma, I wish you would have told me..." I looked at her and said, "What." And she said, "I didn't know it was Erkle impersonation day. If I'd known I'd have dressed for the occasion."
