Baedarin's Journal, 13 September 2017

It would be great if this app had an option that essentially worked in reverse to weight loss. There are people like myself who are trying to gain weight or 'bulk' however my progress bar is already full even though I've not achieved my goal. Even rebranding with a new name might make this platform more successful once this feature has been introduce I just find fatsecret to be an odd name for a nutrition journal. Never the less hopefully someone reads this rant

Yes I completely agree, I'm using this app to monitor my nutrition while I try to gain muscle.

Oh nice to see someone else with the same goals - everyone uses myfitnesspal but that app is so money orientated now you have to pay for everything

If you can't gain weight it just simply means you don't eat enough ... Weight loss or gain, it doesn't matter...you lose weight when you have calorie deficit, you gain when you cave calorie excess ...simply eat more 🤓🍳🥚🍗🌰🍖🥒

Yeah you're right it's that simple, it's just finding the balance of how many calories are sufficient to gain weight I've been doing a bit over 3000 a day but obviously need to increase it

I'm using the app to gain weight just fine, tracking your macros is just as important. up 16kg in 12 months with a combination of good nutrition and exercise. Have you updated your goals stating weight gain as the required outcome? macros will help with weight gain.

I track my macros just fine with the app too my point is more or less that goals are only limited to weight loss. Eg I set my weight higher than my current and my progress bar is already full it’s only a minor thing I suppose but it would be nice to have the option.

Hi, We're looking at how we can introduce a broader execution of goals (including weight) to be more than just loss. Our team is small tho, so we have to be careful about where we invest our time.
