baangd's Journal, 09 August 2017

After 16 kgs of weight loss, I'm finally able to run a bit faster. With this thing in mind I planned a 15 kms LSD run on Sunday, 6 August. I was going pretty good running under eight mins/km. As soon as I finished five km. I happened to look at my friend's waiting at the water station. And boom. I tripped and fell badly, injuring both my knees and right shoulder. will not be able to run untill I can walk properly. I have a hm event on 20 Aug. Wanted to qualify for the full marathon in Mumbai in Jan 2019 but I guess I will have to skip this race.

Great job on the weight loss and running. Soon you will look back on this as just a small bump in the road--pardon the pun. You'll be back at it better than before!

I can empathize - hurt my knee a few times after I started running and would have to take 3 to 4 weeks off it at a time - don't fret though I won't lie the first few runs after some down time are challenging, but it always amazed me how quickly I could work up to my old pace - you are doing amazing:)

Oh, no! I can only imagine your frustration! I hate when that happens (it's happened to me also). Keep losing and working out to stay strong and flexible!
