Aww, Jenibeann! Bikini now! I've seen some snazzy ones at the pool, on women well above your current size.

Allyrawr let me get back to you on that. Great question.

T8U9--- I'm wayyyy too self conscious for that, I did post a picture of me on my Instagram in bra and underwear for like an hour because I have a lot of followers who ask me about excess skin. I literally gave it an hour and took it down. Nothing over the top, could have been a bikini, as it was very modest. But, I'm terribly self conscious!!! It's a work in progress mentally as well.

I don't have answers to self-consciousness, and admire people who don't suffer from it at all. Was at a beach gathering a few years ago, and several young, very large, not especially fit women were absolutely carefree in skimpy bikinis, belly rolls and all, standing in shallow water, tossing frisbee, laughing and joking when they got winded. Wish I'd had that confidence at their age. I couldn't post on Instagram; more power to you for sharing that generously.
----
For skin, I keep meaning to try compression t-shirts (Spanx makes them for men), to keep sagging skin from worsening from gravity. For the mental side, at times I used to do "mirror work" recognition & acceptance exercises (from books like When Women Stop Hating their Bodies) but now I need something else.

Sorry Allyrawr, all I can think of looking forward to wearing is comfortable pajamas and a long nap!

My wedding band. I'm married 25 years and it has not fit me for the past 9 years. I really look forward to being able to proudly wear it every day.

My goal is in steps, my current goal is still solidly in the 'overweight' zone. I want to fit into all of my jeans. I haven't fit into some of them in a few years. After that, my smaller jeans that I haven't fit into in a few ~more~ years. And so on. Then my cute jeans and dresses and skirts. I won't be able to fit into ~most~ of my cute stuff for a long while yet. I have a whole series of clothes to work my way back into. :D Which at least means I won't have to buy clothes. And it gives me something very concrete to aim for.

That little black dress in the back of my closet that I haven't worn since the 90's. You bet your sweet bippy I will be back in that. If nothing more than to knock my husbands socks off.

Swim trunks... haven't swam in any pool or body of water for about 20 plus years (ashamed to do so).

Wearing something wasnt the most exciting thing for me. The best thing for me was to be able to cross my legs. Now I cross my legs everywhere im at! Its great!!

I have been buying "motivational clothes" these last few years since I've been losing weight in the size of each weight goal. By the end of summer I hope to be wearing several pairs of motivational pants which are one size smaller.
