ZenRen's Journal, 10 March 2012

This week has been a double edged sword. On one end, being home, I've been able to make really healthy foods which has helped me. On the other hand, being home means I'm not as active and my friends have parties with not-so-good foods.

So this week, there were a couple sleepovers. The first was hosted by my weight loss buddy, so it wasn't that bad at her house. The only really hard choice I had to make was when we ate at IHOP for dinner. The second major event was with my high school friends, and we (because I asked) ate at a Japanese restaurant. I didn't think my choices were that bad. I had 1 roll of six sweet potato sushi, 1 mini-roll of two egg sushi, and 3 spring rolls. I did eat off of my friend's plate :/ The worst, and probably the thing that added the most weight, was the two slices of pizza I ate early this morning.

I've learned a couple things looking back this week:

1. When I go home for an extended period of time, I need to change my calorie needs for a sedentary lifestyle instead of a lightly active lifestyle, since I'm sitting around all day

2. When going out with friends, stick with the fresh foods. Nothing fried or pizza-like. But if there is pizza, try one slice and mixing with other foods.

Because of stuff like this, I gained quite a bit this week. I actually stuck pretty closely to my normal calorie limit, though. Things will get better once I get all this sodium out of my system and I get back to my normal lifestyle.

I have no clue at this point what I'm going to weigh next week once everything is brought back under control. If I lose anything, I will be happy. There's no need to rush, because I'll just end up sabotaging myself. I'll get there.

(In other news, I'm only 8 pounds away from my little sister! Imma get cha!)

Wish me luck :)
