Hermiones Mom's Journal, 31 July 2017

Took a few days off from logging -- but you know, that's never a good idea. It always leads to consuming more calories than I should. But I think I'm back on track now. Got bloodwork over the weekend to try to identify why I've been having such bad leg cramps at night. My thyroid and potassium levels are both OK, so the doctor thinks it's dehydration. I'm going to make a real effort to drink more the next few days to see if that helps, but if I'm still having problems, I'm going to have to get back to the doctor to explore what else could be the problem. Meanwhile, I really need to up my discipline level in the diet department. I really want to lose another 5 pounds by Labor Day, and for me that takes a lot more effort than I have been putting out the past two weeks. Need some diet buddy support!

I stopped logging for a few days, too. I find it helpful to take a day to get my head back in the game before hitting the reset switch. I'm with you!

That happens to all ! Forget all the non-healthy (or too much stuff) you ate in the past days and get back on track. Its important to stay strong and no matter if there are some loss and gain in your way.. Just keep up!👍 We're here for ya:))

I had a busy week and didn't log my food either. Birthdays dinners and houseguests. Back in the saddle today.

Not only logging, but measuring. Those are both things that will throw me off track-a little at a time. I'm slowing down the wagon for Thsiun, so hurry up and come on aboard!

Thanks, everyone. I also have houseguests about to arrive for a good part of August, with lots of dinners out and partying, so I'm trying to be very focused this week. Eating out is not always so bad for me because I have to eat so "plain" when I go out to avoid an IBS attack, but I think August is going to be a bit of a challenge.
