It was a tough week. My infection in my foot was a bone infection in one of my toes. The doctors said it was caused by a callus on the end of the toe being pretty thick and allowing an infection to get to the bone. (Hammertoe) Fortunately the MRI showed that only the very tip of the second toe was infected and nothing else. Due to my A1C being 6.5 my low blood sugars were not feeding the infection which made it easier to stop. Had to have half the toe amputated to ensure the infection didn't spread. Spent the whole week with my leg elevated and on painkillers. Should be back to normal soon.
