I do not know about super hungry. I am on Keto...and don't know if that is what you are shooting for (ketosis) but low carb is low carb and 38-39 g of carbs is STILL low. So I think you should be good. I try to figure carbs before I eat so I can correct portion size and such...to stay under 20 carbs...but alot of low carb food plans allow for higher carb counts. Everybody is always telling me to look at the bigger picture so it is ironic that I should be advising this...LOOK at the BIGGER Picture! This is only one day...and I would bet ...it is a much better carb count than before ...when you eating and not planning ...so...if you are hungrier tomorrow...so what? You...probably will not be...but with your eye on it...you will do better....although this is pretty darn good!

I am new here and still learning the ropes. Can anyone tell me how to log in calories burned? I'm not seeing a place to do that unless I'm somehow overlooking it.

Most figure net carbs. Which is carbs minus fiber. So you're good as far as I can tell.

How do you figure out fiber minus carbs

If you are allowed 11% of your calories in carbs that's 201.19 calories or 50.29 gms. 38.56gms- the fiber of 14 gms means you actually ate 24.56 gms of carbs or 98.24 calories which is 48% of your daily allowance of that very tiny 11% carbs allotment. There's the math. You couldn't possibly wake up hungry Sweety. You are doing so great. Keep up the great work. I'm not on your diet. I just know how to do the math. Lol 😂.

Still under 25 net carbs, you're fine. Just a side note, I have found when I have fat on my body to lose, I don't need to eat so much fat. Not saying low fat, but definitely want to burn the fat on my body and preserve muscle...Where did you get your macros?

I got my macros on a macro calculator, I'm trying to stick close to them

I lost a lot of weight eating that way but found I lost way too much lean muscle. I'm at goal weight but still battling the aftereffects of it. Skinny fat sucks. I always put it out there, just food for thought.... :-)

I suggest upping the protein to at least 20-25% to avoid losing lean muscle mass - just my experience.

There are a few different macro calculators out there. Maybe worth comparing results? Protein seems low; that could be making you feel hungry. I'm still figuring out what carb numbers work for me.

Oh and when I had 27g carbs at dinner (scallops), I was HANGRY the next morning. So I won't do that at dinner again.

Over the years I have done every diet known to woman...none were successful in the long term except lo carb. I made myself crazy counting portion sizes, calories, fat, blah, blah blah. Now I focus on net carbs and most of the time I stay under 20 carbs per day. If one stays away from any vegetable that grows under the ground and focus on eating real food I think the craziness created from having to spend all day calculating will go away. Just my opinion.
