My first mug cake didn't go well...
The liquid came out of the mug and I had to clean the microwave😑
I will post the recipe and would appreciate it if anyone could help me and tell me what was my mistake and is there any problem with the ingredients or something?
Thanks and wish you're enjoying your Wednesday !

There are a few possibilities. Did you cook it the whole time, or stop it when it started going over? Your mug might have been too small or conversely you added too much of something. Or maybe your power was too high. What watt does your microwave run at? If it's a fancy one it could be as high as 1200 or more. If it is an cheaper or older one it might be 800.

They are super easy to make with protein powder, an egg and coconut oil

just a suggestion as I've made mug cakes before, to prevent a mess in your microwave in case of the cake rising higher than expected, place your mug (sometimes I use a cereal bowl) on a small plate before baking.

I finally found out! Thanks to guys here, it was the mug's size and microwave's power. I should've had changed it before putting my mug in it. Will probably try it tomorrow again with a bigger mug and HOPEFULLY no messing up. Thanks everyone <33

mug/container was too small. Cake will rise. Also, this same thing will happen with hot cereals made in microwave if no room for the bubbling. You get your own personal Mt. Vesuvius in your microwave!!

I've done it a few times, I usually just turn the power down really low. It really does depend on the microwave. My old one here at home I would use at 40% power, (50% would give it a half burnt half uncooked result, I found out.) but my grandparents house had a fancy 'restaurant microwave' and I had to use 30% on that one.
