Sweet Georgia Peaches's Journal, 15 July 2017

Hi FS buddies, I am having an issue and not to sound stupid but I guess I just confussed. on my diet the formular to maintain is 40/40/20. 40% fat 40% protein and the 20% carbs. my protein is always twice the amount of my fat %. so how do I raise the fat % without raising the daily calories. Any one that can answer this , would be appreciated so much.

Sweet Georgia Peaches, Fat will always have calories, as to formulas you just need to experiment with different diets to see what works best for you, as everyone on here is using something different and please believe me I've tried 100'S. For me I use a modified keto. instead of adding fats, I started to use my own body fat as my fat resource initially ,I have spent countless hours on different research on different weight loss, and started to try different methods. I then stared to loose some weight. I have medical issues so I also started the 16:8 way of eating WOE.For me it seems to be working, we are all here to support you and your journey,Good luck !!!

DO N OK @ I am on HCG. the 40/40/20 formulas is for maintenance which I am on at this time. Just figured if some one else is on the same protocol they might have the answer. Thanks for the input.

I eat a generous serving of salad or veg with olive oil drizzled on it to up my fats with lunch and with dinner. For both meals I usually have lamb, beef, chicken or fish. The only real calories end up being the oil because the vegetables are so low in calories. I eat only lunch and dinner. I drink one cup of coffee mid afternoon with cream. If my fats and calories are still low I have a tbl spoon of coconut oil in my coffee. My fats are usually around 60%, my protein around 30% and my carbs 10%. Hope this helps.

Anytime you add more fat to your diet, you're going to be adding calories. Adding fat in the form of coconut oil, butter, healthy oils, etc... is not hard but if you're counting calories at the same time as adjusting to get the macros right, then you need to cut down on carbs or protein. Just log all your foods and condiments and see where you can or need to make changes. Best of luck.
