Judyrose1997's Journal, 14 July 2017

I cannot remember whether I mentioned this before but I am a "Pre" T2 Diabetic. (5 years ago) Diagnosis of COPD (4.5 years ago) . I have inhalers but find the medicine causes "shakes and headaches" So I have refrained from the use of this medication. I am presently on no medications at all for these problems. Further...as is normal I have recently developed High Blood Pressure. Bad news usually comes in Triplet. (Irish wife's tale). That's the full extent of the BAD news. :>( Now the GOOD news is more plentiful. In an effort to reverse/lessen these diagnosis' , I quit smoking several years ago. Also, I have been on a routine of aprox. 30-50 min of exercise 5/ 7 days a week. I meditate everyday. Recently I started listing my food. I join in. I enjoy the friendship and the support of this community. Being Keto...just in these last few weeks has made me hopeful...that I can arrest at least partially the damage my lifestyle has wrought on my body. Being Keto has certainly increased my energy. For the most part, I have been very "up" and engaged. But like my DR told me...."...at 63, the warranty on my body parts might just be up..."
Thus this last bit of work...taking off the extra weight is a final effort to avoid a "full" diagnosis of T2 diabetes or the further decline of the COPD. So today, just today, I face this day. I am responsible to myself and to you to be honest about my food and habits. Thank you all for being here. :>) BTW- This is me today- 5wks on Keto!!!!!

You are beautiful, Judy! Your body is not a car, it is a living organism capable of healing and renewing itself continually. So, your doctor's comparison is moot. You are doing this for all the RIGHT reasons and your body will continue to thank you! Keto on, girl!

i get herbal BP medicine from india. Mukta Vati on amazon 9$ for 3 months supply. My Doctor called me a hippy weed nut and he hates to admit my BP in control. with weight loss I dont need insulin or albuterol except on Very Rare occasion. Im completly controlled with diet and herbs.

You're doing a great job, and it will continue to help your physical conditions. Before I started losing weight and getting in shape I'd had 5 stents in my heart with reduced blood flow to a portion of it, had high blood pressure and was pre-diabetic. I'm now off blood pressure meds, have full blood flow to all portions of my heart and blood sugar is normal. Diet and exercise go a long way towards correcting what ails us!

I am thankful to have a Dr that is open minded about my way of eating. Of course, I hardly ever go to the Dr and what choice does she have, lol....Just keep on doing what your're doing! LOVE your pic, you look so HAPPY!

Eating Keto alone should get rid of your T2 diabetes and improve your BP. Lifting weights reverses certain aspects of aging. 🙂
