I didn't meet my goals for last week, other than weight loss. The loss is good, but it's only from not feeling well, not from actually trying. I wasn't feeling the best when I made the goals last week, but I was trying to be positive and thought that with some exercise and eating well, I'd feel better. But, all I could do was rest and I ate okay. I went to the doctor on Thursday and found out I have pleurisy for the second time this summer, or just lingering from the same infection that never went away, so my chest was killing me and I got put on a second dose of steroids. I also found out my iron was low, which could explain why I've been so tired and some other strange symptoms I've had, but I just had my iron tested a few months ago and I was normal, so it's weird.

But, my chest is feeling better, and I'm hoping that by taking the iron supplement and sticking to a healthy diet that the low iron symptoms will be helped and I'll feel more "normal." We'll see. I'm going to take it easy for the next day or two and work exercise back in slowly. Hopefully by next week I'll be feeling even better and back to exercising a few days a week and wanting to eat my normal healthy diet. I'm just proud of myself for not completely caving into comfort foods and for not pushing myself too hard either when I need the rest to recover.

You sound like me. I also suffer from low iron, and chronic exhaustion. If you are iron deficient, your body cannot produce L-Carnitine. Ask your doctor about supplementing with Co-Q10 and L-Carnitine. Read Dr Sinatra before calling your Doctor "L-Carnitine and the Heart (Good Health Guides)" by Stephen T. Sinatra

I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the suggestion!
