I have been tweaking my food choices to include more fiber. For the most part, I am eating clean with a very seldom cheat day (which I have found does not make me fall off the wagon this time around!) I am careful and cheat only once a week. My cheat foods are tacos, fried cheese, crab bisque, and other savory choices.

I don't always feel that well when I include fiber, but I am giving my body time to adjust. I can recall feeling terrible after eating fresh veggies and beans even as a kid. I want to eat clean, whole foods and I am hoping my body agrees.

If, after several weeks, I still don't feel that well, I will go back to limiting my carbs (as I have found I feel really great on a low carb plan).

I do find that I fill up faster eating higher fiber foods and it is hard for me to physically eat 1200 cal/day.

This is a process and a journey...one that I will learn from and become healthier each day. I must remember to be patient and kind to myself.

Glad you're going slowly on introducing the new foods. I hope your body learns to adjust to them in a pain-free way. :-) But if they don't work for you, don't hesitate to go back to what you know makes you feel great.
