UPDATE: Ate a large lunch and walked four miles but got a 213.6 pre-dinner weigh in. Pushed a lot of water today and added some laxatives tonight. What do you mean about "targeting" 2360 calories? Do you mean you are going to eat that much food? That is quite a high number if you are trying to lose weight - have you considered only consuming 1500/day, so that you will have a negative number of calories (after burning off at least 2200)? In other words, shouldn't your target/goal be -700? (a big negative number). Anything over zero is a gain, not a loss.

@Nanette, Draglist is an expert at tweaking his weight loss plan. He has been super successful here. Now, he varies up his calories on different days due to a type of intermittent fasting plan he's working on, so some days his calories might seem high, but on other days they're much lower. He's all scientific about it and tracks everything in more detail than most people do! He's also fighting some medication side effects right now that are contributing to the 10 pounds he's talking about.

You'll get it off, I'd lay my money on that!

Thank you, Draglist, for explaining the weekly total vs. daily caloric intake. That makes sense. I prefer to hear strategies and answers to my questions from the horse's mouth rather than from their followers. I appreciate you explaining your math behind your weight loss strategy, and am encouraged to read that you are flexible and experimental in your approach. I am new here and enjoy reading all the different ways to lose weight (though some methods work better than others).
