Greetings My Fabulous Followers!

Last night I went to a natural body physique competition for the first time! It was great to see those who are so disciplined and dedicated.
It made me either want to eat Doritoes or work harder to become MY Best - I opted to work harder to become MY best at age 62.

My trainer was competing in the show so I went to support him. Physique is not bodybuilding - it is about muscle definition, symmetry and being lean.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle - Tom Venuto

Short Range Goals:
* Macros 60%-70% fat, 20-30% protein, 10% carbs - better under 10%!
* Back in the "Blue" on Idiot Boxes while retaining muscle - July/Aug?
* Bodyfat % reading with trainer for June 23
* Drink at least 12 - 16 cups of fresh water daily - especially on gym days
* Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting four to five days a week
* Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload

Long Range Goals: 2017
*Bodyfat at 22% or less (Current 24.5%) by year end 2017
*Maintain Idiot Boxes around 152-158lbs staying under goal weight
*Increased strength, endurance and flexibility during workouts

I am dedicated, determined and diligent!

LOL Glen! There is NO effing way I could ever do it! My bodyfat GOAL is 20-22%...these women are in single digit bodyfat and probably 40 pounds lighter than me! NEVER HAPPEN...but it makes want to work to be MY best instead of just age and be weak and fat

I couldn't do it either, just not disciplined enough but I hear what you are saying, doesn't hurt to push ourselves to be better :-)

HCB.....never say never....You may never compete with the young people but you could easily compete with the golden girls....I believe in you.

You are sweet 2227 Gwen - the women pictured in my journal are OVER 50 years old!!! Amazing, and they have been working at it for years, I bet. I can compete with myself to get better!

So my trainer got 4th Place of 16 guys - BUT I say he got robbed! You never know what the judges are looking at but he was clearly better than the guy who got 1st place!
